Rise to Fame – The Street’s Own Voice

MohBad’s journey to stardom began around 2016, when he started sharing freestyles and covers online. His unique sound—an energetic fusion of Afrobeat, street-pop, and hip-hop—quickly gained attention. In 2019, he signed with Marlian Records, where he dropped hits like “KPK (Ko Por Ke)”, a collaboration with Rexxie that became an anthem across Nigeria.

His “Light” EP (2020) and tracks like “Sorry”, “Ponmo”, and “Peace (2022)” cemented his place as a force to be reckoned with in Afrobeats.

Just as his career was blossoming, tragedy struck. On September 12, 2023, at only 27 years old, MohBad passed away under mysterious circumstances after reportedly receiving treatment from an unlicensed nurse.
