Michael Adebayo Olayinka, professionally known as Ruger, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter celebrated for his vibrant blend of Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Caribbean-inspired rhythms.

He made his official debut in 2021 under Jonzing World, a label affiliated with Mavin Records, with his self-titled track “Ruger.” That same year, he released his debut EP Pandemic, which featured the hit single “Bounce” — a record that topped charts across Nigeria and beyond.

Ruger’s follow-up EP The Second Wave produced more hits, including “Dior” and “Snapchat,” showcasing his playful yet confident sound. Known for his distinctive eye patch, bold lyrics, and catchy hooks, Ruger quickly became one of the new-generation stars redefining modern Afrobeats.

In 2023, Ruger launched his independent label, Blown Boy Entertainment, marking a new era of creativity and freedom in his music journey. His fusion of streetwise charm and Caribbean flavor continues to captivate fans worldwide.
