Segun Johnson is a Lagos-born, high-energy live performer whose journey began in church, playing drums, guitar, piano, saxophone, and clarinet. By age 24, he transitioned to singing, and at 25 launched his breakthrough as a crossover live-band artist. Today, he commands sold-out shows across the globe—from Terra Kulture Arena in Lagos to London’s Broadway Theatre and Toronto’s Opera House.
Segun didn’t start with dreams of stardom—he started out of necessity. Candidly, he says:
“Ebi ni, hunger ni” (“It was hunger that led me”)—the economic hardships of Nigeria pushed him into music, not passion.
