Segun Johnson – Biography

Segun Johnson is a Lagos-born, high-energy live performer whose journey began in church, playing drums, guitar, piano, saxophone, and clarinet. By age 24, he transitioned to singing, and at 25 launched his breakthrough as a crossover live-band artist. Today, he commands sold-out shows across the globe—from Ter­ra Kulture Arena in Lagos to London’s Broadway Theatre and Toronto’s Opera House.

Segun didn’t start with dreams of stardom—he started out of necessity. Candidly, he says:

Ebi ni, hunger ni” (“It was hunger that led me”)—the economic hardships of Nigeria pushed him into music, not passion.
