ODEGBAMI: I AM BETTER THAN RASHIDI YEKINI
Former Nigerian International, Segun Odegbami, has made a sensational claim that he is a better striker than Super Eagles all-time leading scorer, Rashidi Yekini.
Nigeria’s second-highest goalscorer ever, Segun Odegbami revealed that, while it took Rashidi Yekini 11 years to score 37 goals, he only needed 5 years to score 23 goals for the national team.

“It was not something that was consciously there that I was scoring goals, it was something that evolved much later after I had stopped playing and Rashidi Yekini came in, that the records now started to be kept.
Rashidi scored his goals over 11 years, I scored my total number of goals in 5 years.”
Fondly called ‘mathematical’ by his admirers, Odegbami captained the national team to the first African nations cup title on home soil in 1980.

“It was actually 23 goals in 46 games and it wasn’t as if it was a record people are aware of.
