A columnist with a Nigerian daily, Nigerian Tribune, Professor Farooq Kperogi has shared what he claims to be an inside story regarding the nominations of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term cabinet.
According to him, in a social media thread he titled “Ministership for Sale: Up to N2.5b Per Slot” Four different, dependable, and independent sources “who don’t know each other but who’re close to the corridors of power” told him that some of the ministerial slots were up for sale – for up N2.5 Billion.
He said that except for a few ministerial nominations; those of Adamu Adamu, Ali Isa Pantami, Mohammed Musa Bello, Babatunde Fashola and those conceded to Tinubu, others were up for the highest bidders.
He accused Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari of coordinating the auction with the help of Mamman Daura with President Buhari being in the know.
He warned Nigeria can’t survive a Buhari second term, after noting “intractable insecurity, mass deaths and unprecedentedly raucous celebration of corruption”
